Jörg Tiedemann, University of Helsinki. Jörg Tiedemann is Professor of Language Technology at the Department of Digital Humanities. His research focuses on cross-lingual NLP and machine translation. The title of his plenary presentation is Open and Free: Tools for Translators and the Multilingual World.

Langnet team participated at the 22 nd International Conference on Information and Software Technologies ICIST2016 in Druskininkai, Lituania from 13 th to 15 th of October 2016, with two scientific papers: "Text Type Differentiation Based on the Structural Properties of Language Networks" co-authored by Sanda Martinčić-Ipšić, Tanja Langnet is a national graduate school for language studies in Finland. It was started in January 1999 with funding from the ministry of education and Academy of Finland as well as universities and various scientific foundations.
